29 April Montessori evening

Montessori Education – learning for life and living to learn.

Suzanne van Niekerk, a Montessori directress from Durban and trainer with Montessori Centre International UK, discussed the Montessori approach and the benefits for children. Liselle Viljoen gave a short talk on Montessori in our High School and how the Cambridge Curriculum is incorporated into it.

1 to 5 March 2010 High School Camp

The High School students went on camp in St Lucia in KwaZulu Natal. The bus trip was very long, but the ocean and other activities made up for it. The kids enjoyed time on the beach, a boat ride on the St. Lucia River where we saw many crocodiles and hippo’s, the super tube in the town and a trip to Cape Vidal where they snorkelled and investigated the tidal pools.

21 February PTA Family Picnic

The PTA Family Picnic was held on Sunday 21 February. Parents and children had loads of fun and just had a relaxing time together. There were face painting, pony rides, pancakes and jumping castles for all to enjoy. Thank you to all the parents who sponsored the different events and made the day such a huge success.

13 February Sports Day

On Saturday 13 February we had a lot of fun with our annual Sports Day. The children participated in fun obstacle courses and cheered one another on. It was a sweltering hot day but everyone gave their best and especially enjoyed the water activities for a chance to cool down!
